I help tradies run a business that works for them - not the other way around

I’ve seen what happens when a tradie works themselves into the ground.
It’s exhausting. It strains relationships. And it’s completely avoidable.

It started close to home. My brother had been a tiler for years, subcontracting to bigger builders and renovation companies. The work was hard on his body, cash flow was tight, and without his own projects he felt stuck chasing whatever jobs came his way.

My story:

When my brother told me he was struggling, I knew how much pressure he was under. After years of subcontracting, he had to start from scratch, with no cash flow and a body starting to feel the toll of physical work. Taking on staff wasn’t an option—he’d been there before and didn’t want to repeat it—so we needed a different approach.

We shifted his business from subcontracting to running a full-service bathroom renovation company. That opened the door to better clients, more control, and more profit without adding employees. We worked out his ideal customers, the projects he enjoyed most, and positioned him for that space in the market.

Each week, we tackled one problem at a time. Pricing, quoting, overheads, systems, profitability, project management tools—you name it. As his confidence grew, he started thinking less like “just a tradie” and more like a business owner.

We also worked on his customer communication. He’s fantastic face to face, but written communication wasn’t his strength. I built him email and quote templates, set up processes in his project management system, and helped him navigate tricky conversations with clients.

In 18 months, his revenue tripled, his personal income grew, and most importantly, he got his weekends back. The transformation wasn’t only in the numbers—it was in how he saw himself and his business.

My professional background:

Before starting Site to Success, I spent over 20 years leading sales and marketing in large businesses. I’ve built growth strategies, fixed broken processes, and helped companies—from small operators to corporates—hit ambitious targets.

Now, I use that know-how for project-based tradies who want to get off the tools, take control, and build a business that works for them, not the other way around.
